The extension allows you use a micro sharing service on all sites

4qu for Firefox makes for a nifty way to share information on a wide array of social networks in a way that saves time and efforts. It suffices to highlight a piece of text in order to trigger a panel with shortcuts to platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Evernote, LiveJournal and Google+, to name just a few.

The extension relies on an online service provided by 4qu.co, through which sharing content is done in a considerably easier manner. The end user can post information on their social network accounts at the expense of two clicks.

Accommodating the add-on inside Firefox is not a challenge; simply drag and drop it onto an open browser window and allow it to install, following which it is ready to use. Its presence becomes noticeable through a little icon placed inside the bookmarks toolbar that can enable or disable the service.

Regardless of the page you’re visiting, the extension also displays a minimalistic sidebar that includes shortcuts to the most popular social networks, represented through suggestive icons. Via this little toolbar, you will be able to share links alone, as text is handled in a whole different manner.

The sharing of text requires that you select it first, at which point the add-on pops up a panel similar to the sidebar describe above, from where you can select the service you want to post the information to.
